Security update coverage ends October 13, 2026
The Issue

Four servers still run Windows Server 2012 R2. Microsoft stopped standard support for this operating system in 2023, and the Extended Security Update coverage keeping these four systems patched runs out on October 13, 2026.

What's Affected

These servers run Accounting, Timecard, the Physical Access Control system, and the legacy File Server, four systems CATG staff use regularly. Upgrading them is the top item on the roadmap in your IT Partnership Report.

A handful of older, decommissioned agent registrations were left out of this list since they're no longer part of active protection — a routine cleanup item, not a gap in coverage. Even the four Windows Server 2012 R2 systems flagged in Section 1 are backing up successfully; the upgrade need there is about security patching, not data protection.
